1 of 3 Options for Service Activity

Sister Helen Warner, Director of Toronto Key City Public Affairs Council of the Church currently volunteers at the Vanier Centre for Women in Milton.

A few sisters from Mississauga Stake alternate with Sister Warner and her two companions for monthly visits to the Centre. The visits entail recording women reading stories or taping messages for their children. Sister Warner said that the women are excited to be able to connect with their children in this way and are very are also occurring around the province.

For one of our service projects we are going to provide Hygiene Kits to the women and men who apparently have no personal items when they leave the facility. Items for the kits will be provided by the conference.
